How to be CCSI certified?

How to be CCSI certified?

I received an email from one of my customer. He ask me as the questions as listed below. He plans to become CCSI. I am CCNA and CCNP certified I just started to work for CLP so they will enroll me. His question is that he passed CCNA with two exams ICND 1 with score 944 and ICND 2 with score 876. Does he qualifies with this score or has to retake ICND 2. Also he didn't take authorized ICND1-2 courses I studied 4 semesters in Cisco Networking Academy. He did read somewhere that I have to take authorized 5 days ICND courses also to qualify.

From my point of view, To become a Certified Cisco Systems Instructor (CCSI), you must first be sponsored or employed by an authorized Cisco Learning Partner. Once you become sponsored by a Learning Partner, they will guide you through the instructor certification process, which includes but is not limited to the following:

1. Select a Baseline technology (i.e. Routing & Switching)

2. Take the course(s) (i.e. ICND1 and ICND2)

3. Pass the exam(s) (i.e. CCNA 640-802 ) at the instructor "cut score"

4. Your sponsoring learning partner enrolls you in a 2-day Instructor Certification Program (ICP) event (Presentation skills and Technical/Lab skills)

5. Upon successful completion of the 2-day ICP event you must acknowledge and accept the Certified Cisco Systems Instructor Agreement.

6. Following the ICP event the ICP Proctor sends all candidate results to the Cisco Instructor Certification and Development Team for validation.

7. Upon validation, Cisco will send a Welcome CCSI email to the candidate and their associated Learning Partner containing their official CCSI number.

Exams are scored separately... It is true for all exams and certifications (You cannot be CCNP certified by average).

I can confirm that qualification from NetAcad is not taken into account. Best you can do is to ask your colleagues or your administrator or your ICP provider organization what you need to do, to be able to enroll to ICP, they will guide you.
